THE GHOST WALK  -  October 11 or 18, 2008 (Reservations Necessary)

Join your friends and neighbors on a walk through Lake Mary and meet some of our city's most famous ghosts on the Ghost Walk. The guided tours will leave from the museum every 10 minutes beginning at 6:30 PM on both September 11th and 18th.

The tour takes about 45 minutes and at each station along the way, a costumed ghost will share his or her story with you. Suitable for children (and children-at-heart) of all ages. Free refreshments are available after the tour. Remember to wear comfortable walking shoes. See information at bottom of this page for reservations. Doors open at 6:30. Lights out at 7:00.

CANDLELIGHT TALES - October 10 or 17, 2008
(Reservations Necessary)

Step back in time to the 19th century , as  Lake Mary's very own storyteller Joe Rosier portrays a costumed country doctor who regales you with haunting stories about Florida’s past and things that still go bump in the night.

Since the stories are told by candlelight in an otherwise darkened museum and can include spontaneous background sounds, participation by children under 5 years of age is not recommended. See information below for reservations.

HALLOWEEN EXHIBIT (Free Admission)

In addition to the Candlelight Tales and Ghost Walk events, there will be a special exhibit of period children's Halloween costumes and other Halloween artifacts on display in the museum during the entire month of October.
